IT Test Automation Engineer (DBN) (HLR6450)

Working for an established, international corporate, this role requires the design, development and maintenance of automated in-house and industry test-frameworks in support of the QA process.


Purpose of the role:

  • Design, develop and maintain reusable, intermediate automation frameworks
  • Design, develop and maintain the server build/preparation process
  • Account for all possible scenarios in the design and implementation of tests
  • Design and document automated tests and test run statuses to improve testing processes
  • Ongoing improvement of automated solutions and technologies
  • Provide managers and technical leads with estimates and updates
  • Collaborate with team members to set automation priorities
  • Research and propose new technologies to assist with automation
  • Provide timeous performance feedback
  • Share knowledge with colleagues and other departments
  • Provide design and technical information through wikis, documents and emails


Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • B.Sc/B.Com./National Diploma in IT or
  • Min. 4 years testing experience and intermediate level qualification
  • Understanding of the full SDLC
