These individuals are dedicated to their jobs, they put in the extra hours and are often very productive. Having a strong work ethic also communicates an individual’s strong character, which increases their chances of success in their work life.
  3. Effort: Effort is a characteristic that separates the successful individuals from the rest of the group. Individuals that get promoted are doing more than just getting their work done. Putting in effort at work communicates that an individual is a team player, they take initiative, make their voice heard and are highly productive. Employers often reward those individuals who show great effort.
